I am now definitely back
Having been at the Olympics as a Gamesmaker and subsequently suffering major disruptions to my existence I am now in a slightly more settled situation and ready to entertain you again or bore you with more posts to the blog.
Firstly apologies for not posting results of August and September competitions on either the website or here but rest assured they will be done pronto.
I was unable to play at the August comp at Dudsbury but did play at Crane Valley in September and have just finished at Sherborne.
It was good to see a new member attending at Dudsbury- Mark Galpin and we hope that this will be the first of many days out with us.
Crane Valley was another great outing and was enjoyed by all 12 of us who played
I can remember Sherborne very clearly as I WON closely followed by Mark Adam and Trick. Even though I say it myself I was pretty awesome.
Nearest the Pin was won by Mark Adam and Longest Drive was yet another Mark- Muspratt.
We are getting to the point where we can not take any more new members called Mark as both Sectretary, Treasurer and Dexter The assistant under secretary to the Secretary and B and B man who thought that the Longest Drive winners name was S'mee.

Twiggy-Woofability Patron with Twiggy |
One thing I am pleased to be able to tell you is that we have now linked up again with Woofability as they have now resolved all the issues that Bill and I as trustees had previously. Bill and I went to their new establishment at the back of Crane Valley and we are both pleased with the progress they have made and we think are deserving of our renewed support. as you all know because I took money off you I have carried out a Sky Dive to raise funds for the Charity.
It is fast approaching the end of this golfing year and as usual we would dearly love someone to take over the administrative tasks even for only a year. Both Dave and I have been Sec and Treasurer for 7 years and we would like a break. The Society is in good shape with not a great number of members but with a group of about 12 who get on together and i think all enjoy our golf win or lose so anyone willing to do these jobs for a year would not have too much hassle.

Bill organising his Charity day |
It is Bills intention to have a Charity day for Help for Heroes in June and I am going to organise one for Woofability in September/October time. Another thing we all need to commit to and organise is another Tour, Dexter has suggested that we should go somewhere like France and hopefully we will have details by the AGM in January and can then decide what time of the year and get some sort of commitment from members.

Dexters Gaff |
Dexter would also like to combine our May golf day with invited Guests from his B and B. He will supply prizes etc and it will cost no more to members than what we already pay at Dudsbury or The Dorset. it would be good for this one day if we could revert to our old ways of wearing shirts and ties etc as it promises to be more upmarket than our usual meetings.
